William S. Watlock, 76, of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully June 22, 2017. Beloved husband of Betty Watlock; loving father of Nicola Patterson, Stephen (Cathy) Watlock; Cherished grandfather of Gareth (Jet) Patterson, Gavin Patterson, Chelsea Watlock. Dear brother of Nick (the late Marge) Watlock, and Julie (Jim) Swackhamer. Fond uncle, cousin and friend of many.
William was born November 29, 1940 in Corning, New York. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for 26 years. He was a veteran of the VietNam War. After the Air Force he finished his career working for the U.S. Government at G.S.A. in Chicago, and retired in 2002.
William had a great sense of humor, finding a laugh in any situation. He loved his family the most, and will be missed by all those he loved.
Visitation Saturday, July 1, 1:00 P.M. until Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect.
